The lesson “Allergy Awareness for Babies” helps a caregiver identify local foods likely to cause an allergic reaction in babies, identify symptoms of allergic reactions, and identify environmentally induced allergens (dust, pollution, etc.). As a baby develops and grows, he/she becomes curious about new foods. The “four-day rule” helps a caregiver safely introduce new foods while watching for potential allergies in her child.
